researcher website - first step
In this guide, you will learn how to create a researcher homepage from scratch. Each instruction is designed to provide clarity and ensure that the process is seamless, allowing you to effectively establish an online presence for the researcher.
1. Click "Create ResearchersHomePage"
Initiate the creation of a new researcher homepage.
2. Fill your name
Enter the researcher’s name in the designated field.
3. Click "Page Title*"
Select the area to define the page title.
4. Fill your name
Input the same name for the page title.
5. Click "Add content"
Begin the process of adding content to the page.
6. Choose a block
Click on add and then a window will open that will show you all the content elements (blocks) that can be added to your page. Each element is displayed with its name and a picture showing how it looks on the site. Choose the component that suits you. In this example we chose a very simple component, but there is a large selection. A full explanation of the various content elements and how they can be used is available in the Umberco guide on the university's website
7. fill in a title
For this block, for expamle, you need to type in a header, and then a description.
8. Go here
Proceed to the next field for completion.
9. type your text here
Type in whatever text needed in this section.
10. Click "Create"
Click "create" to save your changes.
11. Click "Page Url*"
Designate a URL for easy access to the page.
12. Fill your full name
Enter a simplified version of the name for the URL. Write your full name, in English (no capital letters). You may use either spaces or hyphens between the words.

But sometimes we would like to choose a slightly different title, which will help those who came across the page in a Google search to understand that they have reached the right place. 15. Click "Meta Description*"
Access the meta description area for SEO optimization.

The goal is that whoever sees the title on the Google search results page will understand that this is the content they were looking for.
17. Click "CustomSearchDisplayTitle"
This is not a mandatory field, but you may want to use it. This handy field lets you set a more search-friendly title that might better describe what your page is actually about. Think of it as a behind-the-scenes title that helps students find exactly what they're looking for, even when your official page title might be a bit different. For example, if your page is simply titled "Dr. Sarah Cohen," you might want to set the CustomSearchDisplayTitle to "Dr. Sarah Cohen - Research Homepage". This way, when someone searches for a researcher's website or homepage, they'll find you more easily!
18. Fill "ד"ר ישראל ישראלי - עמוד הבית"
Input the title for the homepage.
19. Click "Form"
Access the form for additional configurations.
20. Click "Send To Email Address*"
Specify the email address for notifications. a full explanation for the "form" part will be provided separately.
21. Fill "israel@bgu.ac.il"
Input the email address for the researcher.
22. Click "Save and publish..."
Save and publish the current changes made.
23. Click "Save and publish"
Finalize the publishing of the completed page.
24. Click "Info"
Check the information section for details.
