BGU Outgoing Student Mobility
The Opportunity of a Lifetime!
BGU Student Exchange Program
Through BGU's Student Exchange Program, you can study at a university abroad for one or two semesters as part of your BGU degree - without paying extra tuition fees abroad! The program offers a chance to improve language skills, gain self-confidence and independence, and immerse yourself in a new culture.
Apply NowWhere can you study?
BGU has agreements with universities in Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia.
Who can apply?
Undergraduate students, 2nd year and up, as well as MA & PhD students, who have achieved the following:
- An average grade of 80 and above.
- Required English level: Exemption from studying English at BGU/ Advanced B2 grade 80 and above. (Students currently taking English B2 course may start the application process).
This includes students from all programs and departments, except programs with clinical or practical components.
Please note that the number of spots is limited. Students who complete the application process must pass a BGU admission committee in which one of the main criteria for selection is academic excellence.
BGU has two types of agreements with universities abroad: Bilateral and Erasmus+
Bilateral agreements
Bilateral Agreements are contractual agreements created between two institutions that enable collaboration, and exchange of students and staff. As part of the agreements, students pay their regular tuition fees to BGU and are exempt from paying tuition fees at the host university.
Erasmus+
Let's Get Started!
The application is split into two steps, each requiring submission of different documents.
First, fill out the online application form
First, fill out the online application form
After submission of the initial application form, you will receive an email with guidelines for step 1.
In this step - Complete the details and upload the documents:
- Copy of your passport/ Photo (passport size)
- CV (in English)
- Motivation Letter
- English level and academic average declaration
After submission, you will receive an email with guidelines for step 2.
Submit signed Learning Agreements or Research Plan
As part of step 2, you will need to identify academic courses taught in English in one of the universities as proposed on the list of Exchange Opportunities for BGU students. You will need to get approval from the head of the teaching committee in your department.
If you wish to conduct research during the exchange, find a supervisor at a host university, and get your BGU supervisor's approval.
Please find a list of courses approved by the Head of Teaching Committees of all Departments and Faculties in previous years.
Note:
This list of courses is for reference only. Although these courses have been approved in the past, it does NOT mean that they will be offered this year by the host university, nor is it guaranteed that the acting Head of the Teaching Committee will approve them again.
Deadlines
Please notice that the deadline for submitting all documents (first and second steps), depends on your destination
Housing Options Abroad
Finding housing abroad for a short period of time is one of the tasks that every exchange student faces. While some host universities will offer the option of dorms, many won't.
That's why BGU International is collaborating with HousingAnywhere, the international housing platform for mobile talents.
