First came the meeting with Christina or as I call her Kris or as her friends call her “the stoned“. Here she is in my Tel Aviv student flat. Of all places, we met in an Amnesty International Human Rights conference in Ex-Yugoslavia in 1995. She was representing Cyprus and I was representing Israel. She was about to become a lawyer for the EU in Brussels, and I was going to become a PhD student in Geneva. We still dont agree on what really happened that first night in Yugoslavia...

Here is Kris demostrating against racism, when she was a young student in London.

Here is Kris as she is today.

After 8 years of not officially being
married it seems love is thanking us...

Then came Sara...

Then came Katia...

The two stop fighting only in front of the camera...

So we put a permanent camera
in the room – like a scarecrow...

Then came Carmel...

Here with Sara and Katia and our nanny Vijaya Lobo from Goa, India, who lived with us for 4 years and who we think of as our 4th daughter.

In order to get her a visa for Germany, we had to get the university Rektor to state in an official letter that she is indispensible for German science.... and indeed she was! Kris and I became desperate every time she went on vacation...

Now that she has returned to Goa we hope that she will have a very good life with her new husband. We hope to visit her in her village one day....

Here are Sara, Katia and Carmel as they are today

Then came...(still under discussion/construction)

I try to hang out with them as much as I can...

Here is Sara in my small Jaffa appartment, in the Mega bed („Lul“ in Hebrew) I built for her.

Here, in Venice, with Vijaya Lobo – the great nanny from
Goa India, Sara, and 1/2 year old Katia inside my jacket....

On the veranda in Nicosia...

But sometimes I am home only in sleeping hours...

And then, there are very few moments left for “Kris & me“...

Here, sleding down the mountains of Innsbruck. The Tyrolians, climb up this mountain
at night, get drunk, and then at full speed try to avoid the trees and the cliffs....

A rare intelectual moment...
An even more rare candle light moment...

And finally the most rare of them all....
