I joined the Department of Communication Systems Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in October 2009.

I finished my Ph.D. in 2007 in the Department of Computer Science at the Technion. I then spent one year as a postdoc at Tel Aviv University, and one year as a postdoc at the University of Toronto.

I have a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Philosophy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1999), and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion (2002).

Research

My main field of research is developing algorithms for problems arising in all areas of computer networks. I am interested in both providing theoretical guarantees as to their performance (in terms of approximation/competitive ratio), as well as their evaluation in real-life scenarios. I am mainly interested in scheduling and buffer management aspects of computer networks, with an emphasis on supporting QoS requirements.

I am also interested in general concepts of algorithm design and theory, including issues in combinatorial optimization, scheduling, and algorithmic game theory.

A note for prospective graduate students

If you are interested in pursuing graduate studies (M.Sc./Ph.D. program) in one of the above mentioned topics (or other theoretical aspects of computer networks), feel free to drop me a line and schedule a meeting where we could discuss things further.

It is recommended you check out my recent publications beforehand to see if any of my current research topics are of specific interest.
