Since October 2009 I am a faculty member in the Department of Communication Systems Engineering at Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
I've finished my Ph.D. in 2007 in the Department of Computer Science at the Technion. I then spent one year as a postdoc at Tel Aviv University, and one year as a postdoc at the University of Toronto.
I have a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Philosophy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1999), and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion (2002).
My main field of research is developing algorithms for problems arising in all areas of computer networks. I am interested in both providing theoretical guarantees as to their performance (in terms of approximation/competitive ratio), as well as their evaluation in real-life scenarios. I am mainly interested in scheduling and buffer management aspects of computer networks, with an emphasis on supporting QoS requirements.
I am also interested in general concepts of algorithm design and theory, including issues in combinatorial optimization, scheduling, and algorithmic game theory.
