Welcome to the
Mokari research group
website:
Our
group
focuses on the
development
of a new classes of nanomaterials for optical, electrical and energy
related
applications. Current projects include studying the
toxicity of nanomaterials, synthesis and spectroscopy of
semiconductor nanorods, synthesis
and characterization of binary and ternary nanocrystals with unique
properties, synthesis and characterization of 1-dimensional
nanostructures by gas- and solution-phase for thermoelectric and energy
applications, investigation of the physical properties of
nanocrystal and nanowires with metal-semiconductor interface, and the
formation of closed packed films of nanostructures using
Langmuir-Blodgett technique.
Positions
in the group are currently open for postdoctoral candidates, PhD
students, M.S. students, and undergraduates in related fields. Please
contact Prof.
Taleb Mokari.
