Yael Salzer PhD Student

During my studies as a PhD student I merge research on human factors with cognitive psychology. From the perspective of cognitive psychology I study the modeling of attention within the tactile modality. The paradigms used are derived from the attentional networks system model of Posner and colleagues (Posner & Peterson, 1990; Fan et al., 2002, 2005). In addition, I am interested in the communality of the three attentional networks-alerting, orienting and executive control-among modalities, specifically with respect to tactile modality. From the perspective of human factors, these studies are aimed at further establishing the theoretical foundations for implementation of tactile and multi-modal displays.
