My main research interest is numerical cognition, from several angles:

Magnitude perception and psychophysics: What are the commonalities and the differences between processing discrete and numerical magnitudes? Using a Stroop task, I am evaluating mental representations observed for these magnitudes, and am comparing them using known psychophysical laws.

The development of numerical magnitudes in humans: My colleagues and I are currently developing a pictorial Stroop-like task in order to evaluate the ability of pre-school children to estimate magnitudes.

The evolution of magnitude representation: I am involved in the archer fish project where we are evaluating the ability of the archer fish to discriminate between different sizes, and comparing its performance to that of humans.
