My research deals with Cognitive Control as an executive function that involves the frontal lobes. In my research I'm using a Simon task in order to understand the nature of Simon Effect – is it indeed just interference or is there facilitation as well. In the future I plan to study deterioration in cognitive control that occurs with aging. To this end I plan to use both behavioral and imaging (fMRI) methodologies.
