• Member of the Young
Scholars Forum in the Humanities, The Israel Academy of Sciences and
Humanities (2014-2015) • Involved in the planning, and part of the teaching faculty, of the new, one-year Masters program in Jewish Studies for international students at the Department of Hebrew Culture Studies at Tel-Aviv University. (2011-2012) • Founder and academic coordinator of the Tel Aviv University, “Advanced Summer Program for the Study of Jewish-Christian Encounters in the First Centuries CE.” A 6-week English-language program, designed for advanced students (M.A., M.Div., M.A.R, Ph.D., etc.) in ancient Judaism and early Christianity. With the guidance of its international academic board of renowned scholars, the program aims is to build bridges between these disciplines, and thus to facilitate interdisciplinary work. The program provides students with basic scholarly skills in the Hebrew language and in rabbinic literature and culture and integrates visits to key locations in the Galilee and Jerusalem. (Summer 2011)
• Founder and
academic coordinator of a bi-weekly graduate students seminar. First
year, “Religions of the Ancient World,” focused on the introduction of
the theory, methodology and current academic research in the field of
comparative religion, to Israeli graduate students. The second year,
“Ancient Christianity,” focused on the introduction of fundamental texts
in the formative years of Christianity. As part of the “Jewish Culture
in the Ancient World” - a research group, involving researchers from
Haifa University, Bar-Ilan University and Tel-Aviv University.

• Founder and
Coordinator of the bi-weekly “Ancient Judaism workshop at Yale: Recent
Trends in the Study of Ancient Judaism,” Department of Religious studies
(2007-2009). Organize year-long program for graduate students, faculty
members and guest speakers to share their most recent research projects,
creating a vibrant atmosphere for academic discussions among faculty and
graduate students. |
