David M. StewartNational Central UniversityDavid Stewart is an associate professor of English at National Central University in Taiwan, where he teaches U.S. literature, film, and cultural studies. His research interests include antebellum social history and popular culture, the history of the book, emotion, and critical theory, in particular where it involves issues of history, affect, and institutional practice. His work has appeared in Library Quarterly, American Literature, and American Literary History. He recently completed his first book manuscript, Recreating Men: Anthropologies of Reading and Disorder in Antebellum America. |
