Quantum Atom Optics Group
We study the theory of ultracold quantum gases of bosons, fermions, and their mixtures. The current focus is on quantum, many-body dynamical effects in four paradigmatic systems: (a) Bosonic Josephson junctions and double-well atom interferometers (b) Atom-molecule Bose-Einstein condensates, (c) Ultracold atoms and molecules in optical lattices, and (d) Matter-wave solitons.
