Ibn Ezra Commentators Project

פרויקט מפרשי אבן עזרא

פירושו של רבי אברהם אבן עזרא לתורה נחשב כפירוש השכלתני המובהק. מאז הופעתו באמצע המאה השתים עשרה הוא נלמד בהרחבה, הן בשל הסבריו על המשמעות המילולית של פסוקי התורה והן בשל ה"סודות" הפילוסופיים-מדעיים אשר הוא מכיל. במהלך המאות פירושי-על רבים נכתבו על פירוש זה.

מטרתו של פרויקט זה היא לפרסם במהדורה ביקורתית כמה מפרושי-העל (סופרקמנטרים) המוקדמים לפירושו של רבי אברהם אבן עזרא לתורה.

העורך הראשי של הפרויקט הוא פרופסור חיים קרייסל, אשר בנימין מנהל אתר זה.

פרויקט זה קיבל תמיכה מהקרן הישאלית למדעים, מענק 9/11.

חמשת פרושי העל הראשונים אשר בכוונתנו לפרסם הם:

-          פירוש ר' משה בן יהודה (איטליה, אמצע המאה הארבע עשרה), מהדיר: עופר אליאור.

-          "אוות נפש" (פרובנס, תחילת המאה הארבע עשרה), מהדיר: חיים קרייסל.

-          פירוש ר' אלעזר בן ממתיה (ביזנטיון, סוף המאה השלוש עשרה), מהדירה: אורלי שושן.

-          פירוש ר' יוסף כספי (פרובנס, תחילת המאה הארבע עשרה), מהדירים: דוד בן-זזון וחיים קרייסל.

-          פירוש ר' ישעיה בן מאיר (פרובנס, תחילת המאה הארבע עשרה), מהדירים: אליעזר דוידוביץ וחיים קרייסל.

כעת אנו גם מכינים ספר שכולל מהדורות אקלקטיות של פירושים אלו יחד עם פירושו של אבן עזרא ומאמרים על כל פרשן ופרשן.

R. Abraham Ibn Ezra's commentary on the Torah has generally been acknowledged as the rationalist commentary par excellence. From the time of its appearance in the mid-twelfth century till the present day it has been widely studied for its explanations of the literal meaning of verses of the Torah as well as for the philosophic-scientific "secrets" it contains. Over the centuries numerous supercommentaries have been written on this commentary. The goal of this project is to publish in critical editions some of the earliest supercommentaries on R. Abraham Ibn Ezra's Torah Commentary. The editor-in-chief of this project is Prof. Haim Kreisel and the managing editor of the site is Mr. Asher Benjamin.

This project has received funding from the Israel Science Foundation, grant no.  9/11

 The first five supercommentaries that we intent to publish are:

- R. Moshe ben Yehudah (Italy, mid-fourteenth century) - edited by Ofer Elior

- "Avvat Nephesh" (Provence, early fourteenth century) - edited by Haim Kreisel

- R. Elazar ben Mattitya (Byzantium, late thirteenth century) - edited by Orly Shoshan

- R. Joseph Kaspi (Provence, early fourteenth century) - edited by David Benzazon and Haim Kreisel

- R. Yeshaya ben Meir (Provence, early fourteenth century) - edited by Eliezer Davidowicz and Haim Kreisel

 We are also in the process of preparing a printed volume containing an eclectic version of each of these commentaries together with the commentary of Ibn Ezra, as well as articles on each of the commentators.
