SPECIAL ISSUE MANUSCRIPT REQUIREMENTS

FOR AUTHORS

Computers and Mathematics with Applications

In order to continue the publication of professional quality journals, the items listed below are the minimum requirements for accepting manuscripts for Special Issues submitted for publication in Computers and Mathematics with Applications and Mathematical and Computer Modelling.  We ask you to be sure your manuscript meets these requirements when it is submitted to us for typesetting.  We shall not be able to typeset your manuscript until these requirements are fulfilled.  You may use the following as a checklist before submitting your manuscript to the Guest Editor.

Addresses:  Please make sure your manuscript has current, and complete addresses for all authors and co-authors.  If email and fax numbers are available, these are very helpful.  Also, please keep us updated with any address changes.

Abstract:  Check to make sure your manuscript begins with a brief abstract.

Keywords:  A maximum of 5 keywords should be provided.

Figures & Graphs:  The final format for graphs, charts, and all other illustrations is PostScript.  From within the TEX file of each paper, we import the PostScript figures.  For the fastest publication time, the format should be PostScript; however, we will accept any electronic format that is compatible with the most current version of Adobe Photoshop™ or TEX.  We will try to work with any electronic format that we receive; however, this may cause a delay, and at our discretion, we may require you to re-submit the illustrations in PostScript format, further delaying the publication time.

References:  References should be numbered sequentially in the order of their appearance in the text.  They should not be in alphabetical order.  If your manuscript is not submitted in this format, you will be asked to redo the references, causing a delay for the entire issue.

Electronic Versions:  You may be able to reduce the time necessary for the typesetting process if you supply a digital version of your paper.  Any version can be supplied on a 3.5 inch floppy diskette (formatted to Macintosh or DOS).

A TEX version of your paper.  (AMS-TEX is preferred, but LaTEX and Plain TEX are welcome) or

A digital version of your paper.  Indicate the software used; include an ascii (plain text) and a formatted version on the diskette .

The hard copy of your manuscript must match the file on the disk or electronic version.  In the case of discrepancies, the hard copy will be used.
