Plant Conservation Biology.

Development and application of a stage- and genotype-structured model for a subdivided population that allows population viability analysis on a simplistic spatially explicit metapopulation. The simulation model incorporates within-patch (population) demographic processes, dispersal described by means of realistic dispersal kernels, random catastrophic local-extinction events and single-locus population genetics.

Development of ex situ and in situ plant conservation strategies for selfing and outcrossing plant species, recommendations for optimal relocation and reintroduction of endangered plant species.

Ecological Genetics.

Methods for distinguishing adaptive and non-adaptive genetic differentiation, role of stochastic and deterministic effects on population genetic structure

Evolutionary Ecology.

Selection in natural plant populations, life history trade-offs, plant strategies.
