Syllabus:

This course combines experimental and modeling laboratories on selected topics in animal physiology. The following laboratories will be given:

1. Mechanics of striated muscle physiology (experimental, YM)

2. Propagation of action potential in axons (experimental, FL)

3. Passive properties of neurons (modeling, FL)

4. Sex differentiation in crayfish (experimental, AS)

5. Using ELISA and RPCR to measure hormonal levels (experimental, AS)

6. Heart physiology (experimental, SS)

7. Smooth muscle physiology (experimental, SS)

8. Central Pattern Generators (modeling, YM)

9. Cognitive Neurosciences (YM)
