Life Science

Jonathan Belmaker received his B.A. and M.A. at Ben-Gurion University.  His thesis deals with factors shaping coral reef fish assemblages: from the local to the regional scale. Dr. Yaron Ziv and Dr. Nadav Shashar are his advisors.

Ido Fillin

Life Science

Ido Filin received his B.Sc. at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (Physics and Mathematics) and his M.Sc. at Ben-Gurion University (Life Sciences, Ecology program). His thesis deals with Local adaptation across environmental gradients: theoretical perspectives, and validation using the morphology and life history of the Negev desert landsnail Xerocrassa seetzenii. Dr. Yaron Ziv is his advisor

David Tal

Physics

 

Tal David recieved both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics at Tel Aviv University in Israel. His PhD thesis deals with loading, detection, trapping and manipulation of single atoms near surfaces (Atom Chips). He works under the guidance of Dr. Ron Folman, at the physics department.

Churkin Alexander received his B.Sc at the Department of Computer Science at Ben-Gurion University, and is currently on a combined Ph.D. track in the same department. His thesis dials with computational predictions of structurally rearranging mutations in RNAs. Dr. Danny Barash is his advisor.

Segoli Michal

Life Sciences

Michal Segoli (Life Sciences) received her B.Sc. in Life Sciences from the Hebrew university in Jerusalem and her M.Sc. form Albert Katz International School for Desert Studies, The Jacob Blaustein Institute for Desert Research Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Sede-Boqer Campus, under the supervision of Prof. Yael Lubin and Dr. Ally Harari. She is writing her Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Amos Bouskila, Dr. Tamar Keasar and Dr. Ally Harari. Her field of research is Behavioral Ecology. Her thesis deals with brood-size, and caste-determination in a polyembryonic parasitic wasp.
