My study aims to improve the understanding of earthquake mechanics. I combine data analysis and modeling in my studies, and related work that I have performed includes time-space analyzes of earthquake catalogs, relocation of microearthquakes, numerical modeling of seismic faults, and comparison between simulated and natural earthquake catalogs. The focus of my current study is earthquake interactions via stress transfer to investigate fundamental unresolved questions related to earthquake clustering. For example, what controls the duration and the spatial distribution of foreshock and aftershock activities? What is the origin of earthquake complexity? These are just some of the questions that I wish to address in the next few years.
