Global efforts to develop materials capable of withstanding extreme temperatures—such as UHTCs and advanced alloys like HEAs—highlight the need for a national high‑temperature characterization facility, which Israel currently lacks. THRIS provides thermal measurements above 1500°C, expands the capabilities of Ben‑Gurion University’s existing 1400°C lab, and supports advanced simulations and AI‑based modeling. Equipped with state‑of‑the‑art systems, it will serve industry, academia, and government by enabling accurate evaluation of materials for aerospace, energy, and defense applications while generating reliable data essential for high‑temperature material design and computational modeling.
