About Me
I am a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the School of Education, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. I am a member of the Science Education and the Pedagogy and Teacher Learning Programs within the School of Education. I am also affiliated with the University’s Center for Data Science. Additionally, I serve on the editorial board of the International Journal of Science Education.
My lab focuses on chemistry and STEM education, with a particular emphasis on the integration of technology in learning, teaching, and assessment. In recent years, I have focused on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in education. My work primarily focuses on higher education, but also encompasses K–12 contexts. Within these contexts, I examine self-regulated learning, including learners’ skills and strategies, personal responsibility for learning, ethical considerations, and critical thinking when using AI and other digital tools such as simulations. I also study teachers’ knowledge and professional development.
Methodologically, the lab employs a diverse range of approaches, including psychometrics and learning analytics, as well as qualitative methods such as think-aloud protocols and interviews.
