Education, Democracy and Social Justice Research Group

The Education for Democracy and Social Justice research group engages in research related to Critical Education Studies and the relationship between education and the distribution of power/capital in society. The Group's research projects investigate aspects of democracy and social (in)equality and justice from the perspectives of various players in the educational field: schools, home, teachers/educators, students, and parents. The research group is lead by Dr. Assaf Meshulam, a senior lecturer in the School of Education at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, whose research orientation is critical education studies and education for social justice.
