     Finding your way in the collection
T
he library's open shelf policy provides readers with free access
to the collection.  Books are organized on the shelf according 
to the Library of Congress Classification System (LC).  
Journals are arranged in alphabetical order by title in Hebrew, 
Arabic or Latin characters and divided among the reading rooms 
according to subject.

Due to lack of space, duplicate copies or books not heavily
used are located in "STORAGE". Books in storage should be ordered 
from the Yaatz Reference Desk and will await the requestor at the
Circulation Desk. Material ordered before 14:00 can be picked 
the same day after 15:00.

All Israel's university library catalogs use the "Aleph" program.  
The library's computerized catalog provides the reader with the 
precise location of each item in the collection.  The following 
location symbols are used: (click on location code for more 
information)

the basement, Aranne 2 ground level, etc.)
