The curriculum for Bachelor in Sciences degree (B.Sc.) combines compulsory and elective courses. According to the requirements of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, a student must accumulate 160 credit points in order to receive a B.Sc. degree. The Department of Biotechnology Engineering requires that a student  accumulate about 130 credit points in compulsory courses and 30 credit points in elective courses offered in the specialization tracks.

The curriculum for the Master (M.Sc.) degree combines compulsory courses, elective courses and thesis. The requirements for Masters degree are 24 credit points for compulsory and elective courses and 18 credit points for the thesis.
