Financial Support for Postdoc for Attending Conferences Abroad

Travel fund for Postdoc

Up to $500 may be allocated to each postdoc in order to facilitate participation in international conferences abroad.

Applications will be considered only if:

1. the applicant is staying at the Institute for at least one year;
2. the applicant will be returning to the Institute from the conference;
3. the poster or lecture to be presented is on work carried out at the Institute;
4. the applicant is "senior author" of the abstract which will be presented;
5. the reference: "Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research - Jacob Blaustein Center for Scientific Cooperation" is appropriately acknowledged;
6. formal approval of the presentation acceptance will be provided;
7. there is a letter of recommendation from the supervisor;
8. formal approval on the payment amount for the conference registration will be provided;
9. proforma invoice from the Travel Agency;
10. submission for financial support will be prior the actual date of the conference;

Applicants should fill out the "Application Form for Postdoc Travel Grant" and submit it to the BCSC in advance (according to deadlines).

Travel fund for Postdoc will be approved twice during his stay but not during the same year.

Note: Financial support for attending a conference abroad will be provided to the extent that together with other such support the total amount will not exceed conference expenses. The Postdoc should submit a financial budget report after his/her return.
